Carrie Underwood Shares Super Bowl National Anthem Prep

(Miami, FL) -- Carrie Underwood admits that singing "The Star Spangled Banner" at the Super Bowl is a high-pressure gig. But the singer says she's been prepping for the moment by watching previous performances. At a Super Bowl press conference on Thursday, Underwood said she has also received encouragement from a previous Super Bowl national anthem performer.

Underwood is reluctant to pick a favorite team for the game, but confesses she'd like to see the New Orleans Saints take the NFL championship. She explains that Saints Head Coach Sean Payton has attended one of her concerts, so by pulling for his team she's showing some loyalty to a fan. Super Bowl 44 is coming up this Sunday. The Saints will face the Indianapolis Colts in the big game, taking place at Miami's Life Sun Life Stadium and airing live on CBS.
